The origin of MARATHON
The current MARATHON is based on the classic marathon shoe mold that was left at the NOVESTA factory. At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the Czechoslovakian representative marathon and racewalking team used the original shoes for training.
Inheriting this background, it has been developed as a NOVESTA standard since 2013. The upper, which is made of nylon or other fabric layered with leather, and the low, flowing form have a functional beauty derived from competitive shoes. It is still produced at a factory in Slovakia.
Model suitable for long distance walking
Both CLASSIC and TRAIL MARATHON models are suitable for long distance walking. The lightweight construction is modeled after competitive training shoes, and you can choose it for long days of walking, from everyday movement to commuting to work or travel.
We recommend both CLASSIC and TRAIL for those who regularly walk more than 10,000 steps. Instead of dividing by walking distance, the basic way to choose is CLASSIC if you are looking for nimbleness mainly on paved roads, and TRAIL if you are looking for grip on unpaved roads or uneven roads.

MARATHON CLASSIC for easy walking
MARATHON CLASSIC is characterized by the thin sole and light comfort typical of original running shoes. We recommend it not only for everyday walking around town, but also for days when you walk long distances such as commuting or traveling. The nice thing about CLASSIC is that it has a clean silhouette, so it doesn't look too sporty and is easy to match with your clothes.
MARATHON TRAIL shows its grip on rough roads
The sole used in MARATHON TRAIL is originally made for trail running. The finely textured rubber sole grips gravel roads, dirt roads, and uneven road surfaces. This is a reliable model not only when walking on paved roads, but also when walking in places where the road surface changes, such as when traveling or in the suburbs.
This does not mean that it is better suited for long distances than the CLASSIC, but the TRAIL's feature is its grip on rough roads. Please choose based on where you usually walk and your favorite silhouette.

MARATHON is characterized by not only the basic white and gray, but also a variety of colors such as blue, pink, and orange. Color schemes inspired by Central European cityscapes and art, as well as graphics from the Czechoslovak era, are introduced each season.
