STAR MASTER

STAR MASTER is NOVESTA’s signature model. Made using traditional vulcanised construction, it is based on a simple sneaker produced in large numbers at the factory during the 1960s. Its honest Slovak character continues to appeal across generations.

TRAMPKY GUY
The soles of STAR MASTER and STAR DRIBBLE carry the TRAMPKY GUY, an emblem created by a factory employee in the 1960s and still preserved in the outsole mould today. Hiking was one of Slovakia’s most popular pastimes in the 1950s, and the Slovak word “trampky” is associated with both hiking and sneakers. The figure has become a symbol of Slovak sneaker history and part of NOVESTA’s identity.

TRAMPKY

TRAMPKY is a sneaker inspired by hiking boots. Its name comes from a Slovak word associated with hikers. The upper is premium Italian suede, paired with NOVESTA’s original natural-rubber sole. Vulcanised construction provides dependable grip and durability, while the gender-neutral shape fits easily into everyday city life.

MARATHON

The Slovak factory has produced running shoes since the 1950s. Today’s MARATHON developed from a training shoe created for the Czechoslovak team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Factory staff worked with race walkers and marathon runners on test samples from around 1986, and the model was worn by Jozef Pribilinec, who won Czechoslovakia’s first race-walking gold medal in 1988. After the Olympics, MARATHON circulated widely in Czechoslovakia and has continued to evolve through updated materials and details as a running and walking shoe for modern life. It is also chosen by those seeking a comfortable sneaker for long days on foot and remains one of NOVESTA’s signature running-inspired models.

MARATHON RUNNER

MARATHON RUNNER draws on running shoes produced in Central and Eastern Europe in the 1970s. It is lighter than MARATHON and uses a breathable synthetic-leather lining. RUNNER SUPER TRAIL has a thicker sole than MARATHON for greater cushioning, while its sculpted volume gives the shoe a distinctive presence. It combines 1980s-inspired materials with modern comfort.

ITOH

ITOH updates a well-known tennis shoe produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1980s. Its name recalls the Japanese importer who brought large quantities of this type of shoe to Japan in the late 1980s. NOVESTA’s factory has long produced footwear for leading European sports brands, and the experience gained across work and sports shoes gives ITOH its distinctive, foot-friendly fit for long days of walking.

GERMAN TRAINER

The German Army Trainer, or GAT, was produced as military training footwear from the 1970s to the 1990s in both Germany and Czechoslovakia. NOVESTA’s GERMAN TRAINER revisits examples once made at the headquarters factory, improving comfort and refining the shape for a unisex fit. It uses a BW SPORT outsole and reflects the shoemaking heritage of Central and Eastern Europe.

FLUX

FLUX was created for a strong, flowing stride. Its design draws on vehicles from Czechoslovak science fiction and Central European Brutalist architecture. A cow-leather and nylon upper supports the foot and the shoe’s shape in motion. The lightweight yet substantial sole, approximately 4.5 cm thick, is designed to assist the stride and guide the body forward.

SANDAL

NOVESTA SANDAL updates the cork-soled sandals long worn in Central Europe. Made at the Partizánske factory, the series is based on a model once favoured by medical professionals. A contoured cork footbed and thick rubber sole create a secure, comfortable fit. Both TATRA SANDAL and PARTIZAN SANDAL are PETA-Approved Vegan models.

CHELSEA BOOT

NOVESTA rubber footwear draws on decades of manufacturing for brands in Germany, France, the United States and elsewhere. Each pair is individually tested for waterproofing after vulcanisation, and only products that pass are shipped. The headquarters also supplies natural rubber to European industries, including the automotive sector, and is one of the few factories able to handle rubber processing, shoemaking and vulcanisation in one place.

KIDS

NOVESTA KIDS adapts a military and workwear sole from the company’s earliest years to children’s feet. Natural rubber and cotton canvas are joined with durable vulcanised construction. Hook-and-loop and elastic closures make the shoes easy to put on and take off, while the removable insoles can be washed. Children’s rubber boots are also made at the Partizánske factory.
